Eligibility
Applicant must:
Be at least age 15 days of age at the time of application date of the policy
Be Insured for benefits under Canadian government health insurance plan during the entire period of coverage
Be currently in good health and know of no reason to seek medical consultation during the period of the coverage

U.S.A Plan / Non-U.S.A. Plan
Maximum liability: $5,000,000 CAD per insured person
No Deductible
Maximum period of coverage
For age 0~60 year old: 365 days
For age 61 year old and over: 60 days
Minimum premium: $16 CAD per policy
Benefits
Hospital and Medical Expenses
Provides up to $5 million for emergency hospitalization (semi-private) and emergency medical services in excess of your provincial or territorial plan
Meal and accommodation
Up to $3,000 CAD for reasonable living expenses while you are in hospital, insured family members or travelling companions remaining
Transportation of family or friend
Up to $3,000 CAD to bring a family member or close friend to your bedside
Return of traveling companion
Up to $3,000 CAD to return one insured accompanying family member home if you have been returned to Canada by air ambulance
Escort of insured children
TIC will return your children (up to age 18) home when you have been air evacuated back to Canada
Return of vehicle or watercraft
Up to $3,000 to return the vehicle to you. If, due to a covered sickness or injury, you can not return the vehicle or wartercraft used for the journey
Pet return (dog or cat)
Up to $300 reimbursement in the event an Insured is hospitalized due to a covered risk for the cost of returning the Insured’s accompanying dog or cat to Canada when necessary
Return of deceased
Up to $10,000 is provided for the homeward carriage of your body in the event of death
Up to $4,000 for the cremation or burial at the place of death
Accidental Dental
Up to $3,000 is payable for repair or replacement of whole or sound natural teeth caused by an accidental blow to the face
Dental Emergencies
Up to $500 for the immediate relief of acute dental pain caused by other than a blow to the face
Air Ambulance
When assessed as medically transportable, TIC will arrange for emergency air ambulance to a hospital in Canada or the nearest hospital
Claim
In the event of the medical emergency, TIC must be notified prior to any surgery being performed or within 24 hours of admission to a hospital
Claim must be reported within 30 days of occurrence
Written proof of claim must be submitted within 60 days of occurrence
